Linux Notes
After downloading the AppImage:
bash
chmod +x Astral-Travel-1.0.1.AppImage
./Astral-Travel-1.0.1.AppImageOn Ubuntu / Debian, the .deb is the easier option:
bash
sudo apt install ./astraltravel_1.0.1_amd64.debSharing works on X11 (tested) and Wayland (best effort).
Windows Notes
- Run
Astral-Travel-Setup-1.0.1.exe. It installs for your user only, in one click, with no admin prompt. - The installer is not signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.
macOS Notes
Open the
.dmgand drag Astral Travel into Applications. The app is not notarized yet, so macOS blocks it the first time. Either:
- right-click the app in Applications and choose Open, or
- try to open it once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
If macOS says the app is damaged and can't be opened, run this in Terminal, then open it again:
bashxattr -cr "/Applications/Astral Travel.app"The first time you connect, macOS asks to let Astral Travel find devices on your local network. Click Allow, or the connection fails.
